Pilot Projects
Terra Éire's pilot projects are designed to show how thoughtful, evidence-based land stewardship can enhance biodiversity in real Irish landscapes.
Each site will help us test practical approaches, document progress and build a clear evidence base for restoration that can be adapted and repeated elsewhere.
First Pilot
Terra Éire's first biodiversity pilot project is now in development.
Over the coming months, the Field Journal will document the journey from planning through to implementation and long-term stewardship. We will share progress, practical insights and lessons learned as the work develops—without rushing the story before the site is ready.
Year One
One site can demonstrate a beginning. Several sites can show how practical restoration works across different landscapes, land uses and ecological opportunities.
